The reference layer

This is not a recipe blog or a generic “foods of Himachal” list. It is a structured evidence base. Statewide measurements stay separate from regional studies, and every material fact carries a source and period.

Why this exists

Himachal's food heritage is documented, but the evidence is scattered.

Government reports, biodiversity publications, scientific papers, GI records and regional field studies each hold pieces of the story. The purpose of this hub is to make that evidence legible on the web without flattening different kinds of evidence into one list. The underlying facts belong to their original publishers and researchers — Palum Dhara's role is to organise, contextualise, connect and maintain the reference layer.
